Mike gave me a HUGE bouquet last weekend. I didn't see much of him last week. And this week he's at company headquarters in Buffalo. Like so many others, his company is navigating through rough waters right now. Layoffs happened last week; he felt so bad for the workers who were let go. Right now, we are grateful for employment, but so much travel is hard for both of us. I miss him. The kids miss him.
What can you do but make the best of things?... I've been a little unfocused the last few days. Nothing much to show and tell about, but I thought I could share what I'm gathering ideas for, and setting my crafting sights on now.
It's local, but if you're not, and happen to have anything handmade you would like to donate, email me for my address, and I'll get it to the MothersWithoutBorders boutique. This is now their fourth annual charity boutique, and one hundred percent of sales will be donated to help build a Family and Children's Resource Center in Lusaka, Zambia. This group is doing amazing work. I'm joining.
Dates are: Friday, November 6, 2009 9am-9pm
Saturday, November 7, 2009 9am-6pm
Their boutique is in two locations this year, Layton and Lehi Utah. If you're lucky to be a local :)
Take care! xoxo~Kelly

So glad he is still employed. It is very tough out there. Sweet Hub is going on month #5 and it is starting to get scary. But we will be ok. I'm hitting the pavement this week to see what I can round up.
Hang in there!
hugs,
c
